California Blue

California Blue

Sunshine don't leave me, I'm not far from my home.

My hands are cold, my head is hot and by boots feel like they're foam.

I don't want to sound complaining, but it seems so hard to find.

Something that seems like it's listening and doesn't really mind

But the dark of the night seems to call for me as the ocean calls for you.

Saturday evening sunsets turn California blue.

You seem to me to be happy up there on your own.

You have no one to escape from you have no money to loan.

I can't find a reason to envy you though the thought has crossed my mind.

The same mind that spends most its time in the clouds you hide behind.

But the dark of the night seems to call for me as the ocean calls for you.

Saturday evening sunsets turn California blue.

It's been my pleasure talking to you, I hope no one saw me.

The nights replacing the afternoon and tomorrow will be will be.

There's something to be said about clearing your head walking home alone.

When I get home I'll unplug the tele. and disconnect the phone.

But the dark of the night seems to call for me as the ocean calls for you.

Saturday evening sunsets turn California blue.
