A Long Times Gone

A Long Times Gone

You ask me how I’m doing; you’d really want to know.

I say I fine.

You ask me if I’m lonely, so far away from home

Your homes not mine.

I have been living without you, a long times gone

I would be so much more happy, if you had come along.

You ask me “when will I be back folks still bring up my name”

I don’t know when

You ask me if I’m different has time brought on some change

We’ll find out then

I have been living without you, a long times gone

I would be so much more happy, if you had come along.

You tell me that your envious off all the places I’ve been

I paid them no mind

You bet I met nice people and have made some interesting friends

All I could find

I have been living without you, a long times gone

I would be so much more happy, if you had come along.

You ask me how I’m doing; you'd really want to know.

I’m still right here

You ask me if I’m lonely, so far away from home

My homes not clear

I have been living without you, a long times gone

I know your home is where you're at, and mine keeps moving on.
